# Season 1: Vulpgard Origins

## Vulpgard Origins: The Rebuilding of Vulpgard

Season 1 launched on **19 June 2023** and finished on **12 November 2023**. \
\
The first ever season of World of Rogues, focused on the re-building of Vulpgard where the players had to re-build Vulpgard from scratch, starting from nothing, to a fully-built city (spoiler alert: the Mayor did het his house!).

### Game mechanics

• Resource gathering of wood, flax and rock were needed to fulfill various quests\
• Almost all quests were "global" - meaning all people contributed for the fullfillment of them, and they could see their joint progress\
• Crafting was launched, which was individual, like resource gathering - every player had to do their own crafting and gathering to get hold of resources\
• The more quests a Player would fulfill, the higher on the main Leaderboard they'd be\
• Fishing & fishing tournaments were available throughout the season\
• Lootbox mechanic was live for a certain period of time, where players would randomly stumble on a prize while gathering resources or fishing. See this [Epic video showing a surprised player!](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qkXMHbnSX8w)\
• We had the Halloween seasonal event where [the whole of Vulpgard turned spooky...](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ztY4aNnUKXo)

### Season's Details

• The game was open for [Rogues Genesis NFT holders](/digital-collections.md) only\
• The game was open twice a day, at 12pm UTC & 8PM UTC\
• At each time slot, the game was opened for 45 minutes.
